Get Ready With Tips, Tricks & Treats

Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Park

Oogie Boogie is Back: Your Ultimate Guide to Disneyland's Spookiest Season!

The spookiest time of the year is upon us, and guess what? Oogie Boogie is officially back at Disneyland! From August 27th to October 31st, Disneyland is pulling out all the stops to celebrate all things spooky with a lineup of tips, tricks, and thrills that you absolutely won’t want to miss.

If you're planning to join in on the Halloween fun, here’s your ultimate guide to making the most of the season:

1. Early Entry: Make the Most of Your Time

Take full advantage of early entry into Disney California Adventure® Park! This perk allows you to experience some of the park's best attractions before the general crowds pour in. Whether you're planning to hop on your favorite rides or take in the Halloween décor, those extra minutes are golden.

2. Villains Grove: A Must-See Spectacle

If you love a good light show, Villains Grove is a must-see. Located at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail ® Attraction, this thrilling experience transforms the area into an eerie, enchanting world with stunning light effects that perfectly capture the Halloween spirit. The line for this attraction is normally one of the longest, so definitely plan accordingly.

3. Bring Your Own Treat Bag

While Disney® generously provides a small treat bag at the event, it’s worth bringing your own if you plan to collect a lot of goodies. The Disney® bag fills up fast, and you’ll want plenty of space to stash all those sweet treats.

4. The Headless Horseman and the Frightfully Fun Parade

A seasonal highlight is the Frightfully Fun Parade, led by the Headless Horseman himself, who makes his eerie entrance 10-15 minutes before the parade begins. The best part? This parade runs twice a night! So, if you miss the first one at 7:45 p.m., you can easily catch the second showing with less stress and usually better spot availability. You can also purchase one of two preferred seating dining options at either Wine Country Trattoria or the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.

5. Treat Trails

You can go through treat trails as many times as you like. Lines may look long, but move quickly!

Hades: Hollywood Backlot Stage near Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to

6. Indulge in Event-Exclusive Treats

No Halloween event would be complete without some special treats! Disney California Adventure® Park has a limited selection of event-exclusive food items that are not to be missed. Try the loaded fries at Flo's, or grab a specialty churro near Goofy’s Sky School. For an even more memorable experience, consider booking an Oogie Boogie dining package or a spot at one of the dessert parties. For Magic Key Holders, there’s an extra treat—a complimentary Hades patch available near the Silly Symphony Swings® Attraction.

7. Spooktacular Photo Ops

Disney PhotoPass is included with your event ticket and features unlimited downloades. Stop by one of several spooktacular photo op locations including Sanderson Sisters located in Hollywood Land and Bruno near Grizzly River Rapids Attraction.

Whether you’re a Halloween fanatic or just love a good Disney® celebration, Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure® Park is an event like no other. With early entry, mesmerizing shows, and delicious treats, it’s the perfect way to get into the spooky spirit. Make sure to plan your visit before Oogie Boogie vanishes until next year!
